Small Group Coaching • Big Results
Semi-private training at Steamboat Fit in Steamboat Springs offers small-group coaching (max 6 people) with expert trainers. Start with Foundations, then progress into Performance to build strength, confidence, and conditioning in a supportive, affordable format.

What Is Semi-Private Training at Steamboat Fit?
Semi-private training bridges the gap between large group classes and 1:1 personal training. You’ll train in a small group of up to six people with one of our highly qualified trainers, following a structured program tailored to your goals and level.

You get:
-
More coaching and feedback than a group class
-
More affordability than 1:1 personal training
-
More accountability and community than training alone

Whether you’re brand-new to Steamboat Fit or ready to take your fitness to the next level, our two-track system — Foundations and Performance — gives you a clear path forward.
Two paths. one progression.
Our semi-private training is built around a simple, supportive progression:
-
Foundations – Learn movement patterns, build confidence, and discover which Steamboat Fit classes best fit your goals.
-
Performance – Level up with small-group strength and conditioning designed to challenge you and drive progress.
You can stay in either track or move between them based on your goals, schedule, and coach recommendations.

Q: How many people are in a semi-private session?
A: Semi-private sessions are capped at six participants to ensure plenty of coaching and personal attention.

Q: Do I have to start with Foundations?
A: If you’re new to Steamboat Fit, returning from time off, or unsure where to start, we strongly recommend beginning with Foundations. More experienced members may go straight into Performance with trainer approval.

Q: How is this different from a group class?
A: Group classes are larger and follow a set workout for everyone. Semi-private sessions are smaller, more personalized, and focused on your specific needs and progression.

Q: Is semi-private training right for me if I have injuries or limitations?
A: Often, yes. The small group size allows trainers to give you modifications and adjust movements. If you have significant limitations, we may recommend starting with 1:1 personal training.

Q: What if the semi-private group isn’t full?
A: We run all semi-private sessions with a minimum of two participants. If only one person is signed up, the session will be canceled, and you’ll be notified with plenty of time to adjust. With two or more participants, the session runs as scheduled and you’ll still receive personalized coaching and attention.

Q: I’m an active older adult. Which option is best for me?
A: We offer a Foundations for Seniors semi-private track specifically designed for active older adults. You’ll train alongside peers with similar goals and needs, focus on strength, balance, mobility, and confidence, and work with trainers experienced in supporting older populations. We highly recommend starting with this dedicated Foundations session.
